- In the spring, Dr Alcorta mandated that we use the Priority Dispatch Severe Respiratory Infection (SRI) Screening Tool on all Sick Person, Headache, Breathing Problems and Chest Pain calls. This decision had been made statewide in anticipation of H1N1 and we would alert EMS crews of a "Code 36" situation if there was a possibility their patient had flu like symptoms. - One of our providers [in Howard County] ran into a situation where he used an Accu-chek Advantage glucometer (pretty much standard issue here) on a altered LOC patient. It gave him what turned out to be a false normal blood glucose level. The patient in addition to being diabetic was also on peritoneal dialysis. Billy Zepp Fund Raiser

- The Susquehanna Hose Company and Billy Zepp's Bike Club will be holding a Pit Beef and Car Wash on November 28th, 2009 at Company 5 House 1 (517 N Juniata Street). The event will run from 9am until 4pm, or until the beef sells out, and all proceeds will be donated to the Zepp Family. FSH Hospital Ambulance Bay Temporary Closing

- A message from Christina Hughes--- On Monday, October 26th, the ED ambo bay will be closed for approximately one hour between 0600-0700 so that a generator can be brought into the area.
